Reverse Evolution.

Sculpting in clay improves my digital sculpts. For me, sculpting in clay came after I learned to model in software. Doing so has added to my understanding of how light and shadow gives me useful feedback about form and surface detail as I sculpt. I’ve also learned that viewing 3D on my screen gives me a very different perception of volume than a physical model. With clay, what you see IS what you get.
